I get it. Life can get really busy! Trying to balance work, family time, and a half-decent social life can make scheduling doctor's appointments a real challenge. But, sometimes, we find ourselves with an unforeseen block of time to check off a few things on our ever-growing to-do list. That's why our office is more than happy to accommodate walk-in eye exams!
Before dropping by our office, check our online appointment book (Northlake Mall or Concord Mills) and see if the time you're planning to stop by has open appointment slot available. If for some reason our schedule is booked, feel free to drop in and we'll do our best to work you in. However, please note that out of respect for those who have scheduled appointments, we have to accommodate their eye exams first.
Below is 5 reasons we love (and gladly accept) walk-in eye exams!
1) We know you're busy
It's 2018! You can order Starbucks and Chipotle from your cell phone. Your news is delivered instantaneously via outlets like Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. In most circumstances, you can have what you want, when you want it. As a result, life get's busy and most people don't want to wait. Hence, the increasing popularity of the walk-in eye exam!
2) People forget about their appointments
Because people are busy, from time to time they forget about their appointments (I know, I know, how could they forget about coming to see us!). Fortunately, walk-in eye exam requests help fill the slots for these unpredictable occurrences.
3) If it's good for you, it's good for us
Our goal is to provide you with high-quality eye care that fits your lifestyle. If scheduling an appointment cramps your style, we're OK with that! On average, we see a few walk-in patients a day (sometimes more). Keep in mind that the earlier you come in the day, the more likely you are to be seen!
4) LensCrafters does 1 hour glasses (varies by RX)
We get a lot of patients that come to our office because they've lost or broke their glasses and need a replacement ASAP. Fortunately, LensCrafters can make most glasses in an hour (in some cases). Therefore, when these emergencies occur, we've got you covered.
5) You can shop at the mall while you wait
On busy days, you might have to wait a while to be seen by a doctor. That's why we encourage our walk-in patients to explore the many shops at Northlake Mall while they wait. In fact, our team will take down your information and contact you when an appointment slot comes available!
Lastly, at our office, walk-in eye exams cost the same amount as regularly scheduled eye exams. With this in mind, we highly recommend all patients that visit our office have their vision and medical insurance on hand for us to verify. This greatly improves our ability to check your insurance eligibility and see you in a timely fashion!
