Did you know that Dr. Brady Kirsch grew up in Michigan, loves sports, and enjoys spending time with family and friends? With this in mind, below are 5 questions to get to know Dr. Brady Kirsch.
1) Why did you become an optometrist?
I knew I always wanted to work in the medical field and help people but didn’t know exactly what I wanted to do. I shadowed my local optometrist and worked at the practice for a few summers while in high school and early college, and I really enjoyed it and thought “I could do this.”
Ever since then, I have stuck with it, and now I have found myself practicing over 11 hours from where I grew up.
2) What inspired you to practice in Charlotte, NC?
I am originally from Michigan, but wanted to try something new, so I put North Carolina high on my list while picking rotations in optometry school.
I ended up in Charlotte for 6 months and loved it.
3) What is your favorite thing about being an eye doctor?
I love being able to make a difference in people’s lives. I feel like optometry is a medical profession that allows me to build relationships with my patients.
4) What do you feel makes Northlake Eye different?
With having multiple locations between Charlotte and Asheville, many patients and populations are cared for on a daily basis.
In return, I never know what I might be seeing or treating next and this always keeps me on my toes.
5) What do you like to do when you're not seeing patients?
I like to watch sports, play basketball, workout, travel, and hang out with family and friends.
