RGP Contact Lenses

At Northlake Eye, our doctors are experts at fitting rigid gas permeable (RGP) contact lenses! 

These are specialty contact lenses that few doctors in the area fit.

 

To accurately fit RGP lenses, our doctors perform corneal topography to assess the curvature of the front of your eye. Based on this assessment, they determine your optimal glasses prescription and order custom RGP lenses from the lab.

 

Once the lenses arrive, you'll return to the office so we can evaluate your vision and how the lenses fit on your eyes. Occasionally, we may need to adjust the fit, but in most cases, you'll be able to leave with your lenses on the same day as the follow-up.

If you're new to wearing contacts, don't worry. Our team is happy to train you on how to successfully put them in and take them out.
